FAQs

Is the pool wheelchair accessible?

Unfortunately the pool does not have a chair lift. However, the splash pad and fountain areas are wheelchair accessible and have no steps.

I’m 90 years old and have a head of grey hair. Do I really need to show you my ID?

yes.
Every single person MUST show a form of ID that has their birthdate on it. Driver’s license, state ID, passport etc.
EVEN IF YOU ARE NOT DRINKING ALCOHOL!

There are no exceptions to this rule because of liability and insurance for the venue/pool. We legally HAVE to enforce that each person has their ID on them, or we’ll have BIG problems… and nobody wants that!

Can my non-fat friend or partner come to the party with me?

Yes! This is a space and event that centers the joy of fat people and we want you to bring your pals and support system to have a great time! We just ask, please be sure your allies in attendance are just that. Fat allies. This is not a situation that will tolerate rude, creepy or otherwise dickish behavior.

I’m transgender, non-binary or otherwise gender expansive, can I take my top off even if I haven’t had/finished top surgery?

Yes! This is a space where we encourage people to be brave, try something new even if it’s a little scary. And having a welcoming space to dip your toe in the water (pun 100% intended) is exactly the reason we do this event.

Will there be a place to change?

Yes, there are bi-gendered changing rooms but with a lot of people at the event it’s best to come with your suit under your clothing so you don’t need to change on-site.
Note: Gender expansive guests are welcome to use the bathroom they feel most comfortable using.

What’s the bathroom situation?

There are bi-gendered bathrooms (women/men). Gender expansive guests are welcome to use the bathroom they feel most comfortable using.

Should I bring my own towel?

Yes! There are NO towels available at the pool so you’ll need to bring your own.

Is there a dress code or restricted suit types?

We encourage you to wear your most fabulous, silly, amazing, gaudy, risque, fun, glamourous, wild, flowy, sparkly pool wear! No denim pants or shorts are allowed in the pool, however if you’re still at the ‘wear a t-shirt in the pool’ phase of things, that’s ok, you can absolutely do that! But we hope being around all these happy, big bodies will give you the courage to try that first step of leaving the shirt on land and see what it feels like with a little sun on your tum <3
