The Alpha Capricornids is a meteor shower that runs from early July through mid-August, peaking in late July. While it produces a low rate of only 3 to 5 meteors per hour, it is famous for generating slow, vivid, and colorful “fireball” meteors that glide spectacularly across the night sky.
